hi welcome to Ji's kitchen it's been a months since I last posted a recipe hehe but today I'll be sharing one of my fave kakanin during my childhood time we call it Majang Bigas or simply Maja its made of rice and pure ube/purple yam that's why its very delicious..hope you like it and don't forget to subscribe.....THANK YOU.....
Ingredients: (I add the link of the products that i used and alternative substitute for the ingredients that you can't find in your place)
(coconut curd/latik)
4cups of coconut milk
(ube rice maja)
3-4 cups ube halaya (you can use boiled grated yam just adjust the sweetness)

    WTF the dough didn’t have enough moisture I had to add like almost a cup more water it was dryer then hell hope the rest of this recipe comes out great i gotta impress my step daughter and wife who is prefers with my child .

      Putting too much sprinkle flour will make it dry..make sure just put enough

      Nasobrahan po siguro ng time to rise and the yeast po ginamit maybe d gnun ka fresh and naluto ng water it should be warm lang po.

    Just to confirm, the steamer is turned off and residual steam is used to cook the buns? Not a full on steam session?

      In the first step on steaming...heat up ist the steamer once its a bit hot turn off the fire place the buns let it rise there for minutes..then After that turn on again the fire then continue the real steaming process

      Hi the texture of this is not as fine as rice flour...so i suggest to use the rice then blend it so you'll get the right consistency and texture that needed..

    That is not AP flour that she is using. AP flour is not that white. She is using Hongkong flour. I hate it when people here in RUclips share the wrong ingredients for their recipes. That’s not honest, so deceiving.

      I think it will easy melt..but i think its going to work its just the texture will be different try to use not so ripe bananas..

      Actually i dont cut a lot my right hand is weak and not allowed to use to much force .you will notice its giving me hard time everytime i need to use force and its always a problem.

    I love the taste of this dough but for some reason mine was flat. Do you know why it’s flat? It expands wider when I steam it instead of taller.

      Yes its flatten if you open the cover of the steamer immediately after steamed you should follow the last steps on the video where its slightly open the cover and put a fork or anything that can slightly give a bit of air on the steamer not fully open..if you followed that still its result flatten the reason might be because of the ist step that you need to turn off the fire after the water is warm before placing the umcook buns or you give too much time rising the dough its not good too..

      Overnight delivery ups..make sure its on ziplock and its already cooked and steamed before putting in the frezer before shipping..

    Die Brötchen sind zu dick, die Füllung zu wenig. Man hat im Mund mehr Teig als die Fleischfüllung !!! Es sollte mehr Fleischfüllung rein oder weniger oder kleinere Teigbällchen machen. Dann würde es sehr lecker schmecken !!!🤣

    Hi! Your siopao looks so good and fluffy! Can I ask what type of flour you used and the brand? I just can't get mine as white and fluffy as yours with regular ap flour. Thank you!

      Binibilog po talaga once nag mamasa..to get the desire shape that we need..as you see po round po ung shape..hindi po mag exactly round yan if hindi mo muna bibilogin.
